Keeping Feng Shui Water Features Sparkling Clean

Feng shui makes great use of water features such as fountains and pools. Water features are beautiful, and if properly placed and maintained, they attract very good chi.

The only catch is: They must be well maintained and kept very clean. Stagnant or dirty water is an equally powerful attractor of negative chi, or sha chi.

Clean and sparkling, moving water carries wonderful energy. In practical terms, it releases negative ions that clean the air, invigorating all who breathe it. That is why people are so attracted to natural waterfalls.

Fountains and waterfalls provide the most powerful energy. Adding a small waterfall or fountain to a swimming pool, for example, not only adds beauty and the lovely sound of falling water, it also enhances chi.

But a well-filtered swimming pool with good circulating pumps can be a powerful source of good chi, too, especially if kept scrupulously clean. It may not be glamorous, but swimming pool maintenance is just as important as the size and placement of the pool.

In some parts of the world swimming pools are used all year long. That makes a regular water maintenance program, using good-quality pool supplies, especially important.

Whenever pools are uncovered, even if not in active use, such as in the spring and fall in cool areas, they still must be treated, filtered and cleaned. Using the proper pool filters and pool chemicals assures that swimming pools stay sparkling clean to protect the health of swimmers as well as to attract good chi.

So take good care of your swimming pool and other water features. Keep them clean and well-maintained for the sake of your health, and those well-kept water features will attract good chi.

That is good sense as well as good feng shui.
